How to Apply Your Makeup When You Forget Your Brushes

I hate when I am staying with a friend or on vacation and I go to apply my makeup only to realize that my makeup brushes are the one thing I forgot to pack. Somehow, no matter how much I try to remind myself and how many notes I leave myself, my brushes get left behind more often than they come with me. Because of my never-ending absentmindedness, I have come to learn how to apply makeup without my makeup brushes.

The only supplies you will need to apply makeup without makeup brushes is your finger and some toilet paper. Luckily these are things that are almost always readily available.

If you happen to wear a red lipstick or a rose colored lipstick you can not only just that on your lips, but you can also use it on your cheeks as a blush. Just simply dab a few dots on the apples of your cheeks. Then, you can use your index finger and your middle finger to blend the lipstick color upwards and outwards in circular motions, just like you would real blush.

Blush is no problem without a makeup brush, however eye makeup can be much harder since you have to be more accurate. What I do is put a piece of toilet paper over my pinky finger and hold it there with a hair elastic. Then, I get my pinky finger damp and dab it into my dark eye shadow powder. Now, I rest my hand on my cheek so it stays nice and still and doesn't shake at all and simply tap the powder slowly and carefully onto my upper and lower lashes. It's a good idea to change the toilet paper after each lash line, so you will need 4 pieces.

If you want to apply your eye shadow to your lids, and not just as en eyeliner, don't get it wet first. First, wash your hands so they are nice and clean. Now, using your ring finger, dip it into the powder eye shadow. Be sure to tap off any extra because you don't want it to stick to the lipstick you used as blush on your cheeks. Simply apply the eye shadow with your finger pressing it onto your eyelids. Blend it in using the same finger rubbing in small circles until the color is completely covering your lid and is blended well.

And now you have a completely makeup look, using no brushes.

  1. Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles?

I mean, what you say is fundamental and all. But just imagin if
you aded some great graphics or videoo clips to give your posts more,
"pop"! Your content is excellent but with images and clips, this
blog could certainly be one of the very best in its niche.
