A Bride's Guide to Beauty: From Head to Toe

Brides want to look their best on their wedding day. Here is your head to toe guide to getting that perfect blushing bride look for your wedding day.

Hair:
Start prepping your hair a few weeks in advance with deep conditioning treatments. Getting a trim will also freshen up your look, but do not do anything new or drastic. Talk to a hair stylist before your wedding and have them do a practice style and wear it for the day. You want to make sure you love the look and that it will hold up all day. Tell the stylist what type of dress you are wearing and about the style of your veil. You want your look to match. There are many salons that specialize in bridal looks.

Eyes:
It may be hard, but make sure you get plenty of rest each night the week before your wedding. Tiredness and stress show up in the eyes. Plan on waxing your eyebrows a few days before your wedding so your skin won't appear red. Tidy up any stray hairs with tweezers the night before after a hot bath.

Mouth:
Exfoliate your lips with a dry washcloth and some Vaseline or with a product made especially for lips. They will appear smoother and your lipstick won't cake. Visit your dentist a few months before your wedding to discuss teeth whitening options. You want a dazzling smile for all those pictures.

Skin:
When you visit with your makeup artist discuss using a light bronzer to give you a sun kissed glow. Don't overdo it; you don't want to be orange. Practice your makeup look before the wedding if you plan to do it yourself.

Have any waxing done a week before you wedding so your skin will be smooth. If you have more time, consider laser hair removal. Having unwanted hair permanently removed is a perfect wedding gift to give yourself. You won't have to worry about shaving on your honeymoon.

Body:
Even though you will be extremely busy; keep up your exercise routine and drink a lot of water. You want to make sure you fit into your dress so try not to lose or gain any weight after your final fitting.

Hands:
Get a manicure from a professional. You want beautiful hands and nails. They will be photographed and people want to see the bride's ring. Make sure you use a moisturizer so your hands are soft.

Feet:
If you have open toed shoes get a pedicure. You may still want to get one if you will be wearing a bathing suit on your honeymoon. No matter what type of shoes you are wearing you should break them in. You will do a lot of standing, walking and dancing on your wedding day. You don't want to be in pain. Walk around your house in your shoes every day a week before you wedding. If they still cause you pain you might consider purchasing different shoes.

Now relax and enjoy your wedding day. You know you are covered from head to toe and will be a beautiful bride.
