Luscious lips series: Lesson 2

PERFECTING YOUR POUT

·         Apply color onto the center of your lips, blending up and out to the lip line working towards the corners.
·         For longer lasting color, gently blot with tissue, reapply lipstick and blot again.
·         For evening, remember to select a lipstick one or two shades deeper than your daytime color.

Tip: For a creamy effect, apply a lip balm to lips before applying lipstick.

Tip: For a matte effect, apply lipstick then blot gently with tissue.

Tip: For a sheer effect, apply lip balm. Gently dot a small amount of neutral color lipstick across lips, then smooth out.

Tip: For a glossy effect, apply lipstick then finish with a clear or neutral color gloss coat for a moist, seductive shine. Remember, the more coats you apply, the more shine so turn up the volume!

LUSCIOUS LIPS SERIES: LESSON 1

SHAPE YOUR LIPS:

Applying lip liner is not only a great way to define and accentuate the shape of your lips, but also to keep your lipstick from feathering.
1.     Begin applying lip liner at the center of your natural upper lip line to define the bow then work toward the outer corners to complete the line.
2.      Start at one corner of your bottom lip then follow your natural lip line all the way to the other corner.

Tip: Choose a lip liner that matches your lipstick or a flesh tone shade for a soft, natural look.

Tip: To get plumper, pinker looking lips, do not touch up by drawing a hard lip line; smudge it so lips look fuller! For a more dramatic fullness, choose a lipstick shade with a hint of frost.

Tip: To avoid lipstick on your teeth, put your index finger in your mouth and then draw it out slowly with your mouth closed. What you see on your finger is what would have ended up on your teeth!

Chic cheeks

CREATING A NATURAL, ROSY RADIANCE
When applying blush, you want the color to look soft and natural, as if it comes from within. Read below for tips on how to put on make-up.
1.     Tap or lightly blow on the applicator brush to remove any excess blush before applying to prevent a harsh and uneven application.
2.     Apply your blush on the apple of the cheek and carefully blend towards your natural hairline.
3.      If you have two shades, apply the darker one on the apple of the cheek first, then use the lighter shade to highlight. Blend well so there is no visible line between colors.

4.     Highlight your temples, forehead and chin.

Tip: To know "where to glow" bend over for 30 seconds, then slowly stand up. Where your cheeks are flushed is where you are meant to blush. Apply your blush there and it will be naturally rosy every time.

Tip: Cheek color should be used to enhance your complexion, not to change your natural skin tone. Use sparingly for daytime, then add more or a deeper shade for a more dramatic nighttime effect. For special occasions, dust a lightly frosted powder over your cheekbones for a subtle but alluring glow.

TIP: Make sure to blend your blush into your foundation well or it will tend to look unnatural and add the appearance of 5 years to your looks.

Are you a food junkie?

This report is gotten from iQuestion authority.com
(NaturalNews) Junk food appears to be almost as addictive as heroin, according to a study conducted by researchers from the Scripps Research Institute and presented at the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience.
“This is the most complete evidence to date that suggests obesity and drug addiction have common neuro-biological foundations,” researcher Paul Johnson said.
The researchers fed rats one of three diets: a nutritious diet, a healthy diet with restricted access to junk food, or a diet of unlimited junk food. Junk foods included cheesecake, chocolate, sponge cake and fatty meat. Mice in the third group quickly became obese, while the weight of mice in the first two groups did not change.

To test the effects of junk food on the brain’s pleasure centers — the areas affected by drugs — the researchers electrically stimulated those areas whenever the mice ran on a wheel. The longer a rat ran on the wheel, the more pleasure it would receive.
While rats in the first two groups did not change their wheel-running behavior, the rats eating junk food soon began running on the wheel for longer periods — suggesting that their brain’s pleasure centers had become less sensitive. Consistent with this finding, the rats began eating more and more food, suggesting that their bodies had become desensitized to the pleasure the food was producing.
The researchers then began exposing rats to painful electric shocks whenever they ate junk food. The rats on the restricted junk food diet quickly stopped eating the food, but the binge-eating rats were undeterred.
“You lose control. It’s the hallmark of addiction,” researcher Paul Kenny said.
When the bingeing rats were deprived of junk food and given only healthy food, they refused to eat anything for two weeks.
“It’s almost as if you break these things, it’s very, very hard to go back to the way things were before,” Kenny said. “Their dietary preferences are dramatically shifted.”
“What we have are these core features of addiction, and these animals are hitting each one.”
So don’t feel bad if you’re one…
but kick the habit!
It’s hard, but it can be done.
